Hope C. Lefeber Comments in News Story on AG Kane's Allegations of Sexism

Is criticism of Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane a product of sexism?

That’s what The Legal Intelligencer asked in a March 25, 2014 news article on the controversy surrounding the attorney general’s decision to discontinue an investigation into Philadelphia Democrats.

Federal criminal defense attorney Hope C. Lefeber told The Legal that sexism is a problem in the legal community, but that the questions put to Kane came from party affiliation, rather than gender.

“If anything, the old boys club of Democrats put her in power and now she’s being attacked for not prosecuting them,” Lefeber said.
