Criminal Defense Attorney Hope C. Lefeber Named Among The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100
New York City Criminal Defense Attorney Hope C. Lefeber is marking one year as a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, an invitation-only organization composed of premier trial lawyers nationwide.
Lefeber was invited to join the organization in August 2013.
“I’m very proud to tell my clients and prospective clients that I was recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania,” said Lefeber. “My clients can rest assured that their legal affairs are in the hands of a highly qualified professional, and it’s a constant reminder to me of the need to uphold a higher standard of excellence in this profession to which we are called.”
The National Trial Lawyers is a professional organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state in the nation who meet stringent qualifications. Membership is limited to the Top 100 civil plaintiff and criminal defense lawyers in each state or from highly populated regions of states.
Current members of The National Trial Lawyers are encouraged to nominate their peers for membership. Nominees must be trial lawyers actively practicing either civil plaintiff or criminal defense law.
Selection is based on a thorough, multi-phase process which includes thorough research into the attorney’s settlements and verdicts, membership in and leadership of state and national trial lawyer organizations, and ratings and rankings by leading national evaluation organizations.
Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who demonstrate superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile.
In practice since 1979, Lefeber is an experienced and aggressive federal criminal defense attorney in New York City. Her key areas of practice include defense against charges including white collar crime and drug charges.
As a former enforcement attorney for the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, Lefeber uses the knowledge she gained while working for the government to best defend her clients facing serious state and federal charges of business and corporate fraud, mail and wire fraud, money laundering, financial and securities fraud, and tax fraud.
Lefeber has represented high-profile clients, published numerous articles, lectured on federal criminal law issues, taught Continuing Legal Education classes to other New York City criminal defense attorneys and has been quoted by various media outlets, from TV news to print publications. She uses her extensive experience to vigorously protect the rights of the accused.
